Humble,
Texas is bounded by the north Montgomery County, on
the east by the San Jacinto River, by Greens Bayou on the
south and Aldine-Westfield on the west. The Humble area
offers something for just about everyone in the way of
recreation, whether it's team or individual sports, parks,
water activities, or simply the easy accessability of the
professional teams in nearby Houston. Humble is located in
an ideal recreational area. Only minutes from downtown
Humble is one of the finest fishing lakes and recreational
areas in Texas, Lake Houston. Lake Houston, which is
located on the San Jacinto River, offers excellent
camping, boating, skiing and fishing facilities. Also
located only a short distance away are Lake Livingston,
Lake Sam Rayburn, Lake Conroe and Toledo Bend. Rounding
out the recreational offerings is an outstanding array of
local golf courses and parks. Don't be fooled by Humble's
downtown quiet streets and traditional small town look.
Instead, count the various housing starts in the area as
developers have now found an attractive way for the home
owner to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city
and into the wooded reaches of the Humble area.
